About Me

Design is not just what it looks like, it's how it works.

I'm Batoul Ali, a product designer and frontend developer. What drew me to this field is the combination of creativity and logic, good design is both something you feel and something you can reason about. Before this, I worked as a teacher, and that shaped how I approach design more than I initially realized. It trains you to read people, communicate complex things simply, and keep adjusting until something lands.

I studied UX/UI design and frontend development at Chas Academy and completed my internship at Smart Heminstallationer, building their entire website from research to a near-complete product, alone. That taught me what it means to own something end to end. I'm based in Stockholm, where I live with my two cats, and outside of work I'm mostly with family and friends, trying new restaurants, travelling and picking up something new to learn.
